Old Crow

Not oufitted enough for my wife, but somebody who tours solo might get use out of it.  Cool idea anyway, and some great pics if you poke around his links.
This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickock.

hbkeith

i see nothing for when it rains

Old Crow

In a post in that forum one of the links goes to he mentions leaving the top off at night, so there must be a top curtain that snaps over the one side you can see in some of the pics.  Pretty ingenious if you ask me, and a dern sight lighter and easier to pull than one of those bunkhouse campers.
I dig the baby teardrop look, too.

Assuming he's got rain protection, as Old Crow said, that's a super slick setup for one person. Not sure how my 6'4" frame would fit in it but the design is ingenious.

:agree:

Just not sure how weather tight it would be in an overnight rainstorm....

Looks kinda like the front and back halves might separate, with a bellows or some such between them.

God, I know I don't talk to you often enough, but if I ever get one of these please take me home.    :emoGroan:

glens

I think that was a pretty good guess on my part since the only thing I get besides the picture is one link to the "owner login" and one to godaddy...

Where are these "links to poke around" in?

kickstart

very interesting concept.
Leads to lots of variations that can be homebuilt and adapted.
I like the idea of the rear section carrying cargo, cook gear, teardrop style.
Although that would be the bulk of the weight , which should be on the tongue

One side note though, if I'm in for a rainstorm,
There is usually a Holiday Inn close enough.
I dont care what kind of tent I have :nix:
It's not about gun control.
It's about CONTROL.

PoorUB

I saw this on another group some time ago, right after he owner built. The owner is mighty proud of the idea, but it sure is not something I would want.
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

FSG

Quote........ which should be on the tongue

There be plenty of weight on the tongue if he stashed the firearms and ammo under the pillow.   :teeth:

They're there, a little less speed reading and you may see them.

glens

No speed-reading involved.  The only thing my browser shows aside from the picture (occupying the entire window, with no scrollbars either vertical or horizontal) of the bike and trailer sitting at the side of the road overlooking a valley is on the bottom-right there's a widget for me to get my own site like that and at the top right a widget for the owner of the site to log in.  No text, no links, no nothing.

FSG

Time to change browers or OS then.

glens

Nope, running the most advanced and up-to-date of each.  It's probably my privoxy.org filtering proxy.  Sometimes I have to make some exceptions but usually don't bother with it for inane sites.  Sorry for wasting your time.

14Frisco

Here is the link to a few of his rides and lots more pics - pretty cool story:

:hyst:   I'm sure PapaYolk would appreciate your inane reference.

glens

:)  I doubt he would care about it any more than I'd care about him saying it about anything I'd posted to the Internet.

FSG

Probably not, but why do you seem to often belittle what others do ?

I actually read the link(s) in their entirety and enjoy it.  May not be something for me, but I was intrigued with stories and the idea.

:agree:

Though its not really for me, he's definately put a lot of time and effort into it.  I never would have thought about a "drawer slide" arrangement.  Great idea.  In my case though, my idea of roughing it is an older Holiday Inn....  :bike:
