After repeated conversations with Steve Cole, I had decided to bite the bullet, pull my pipes and weld in new 18mm bung for better O2 placement.  I'm slow, so I asked Steve TWICE on how he felt placement should be accomplished.

So...  I have found I can no longer weld worth a "Potty mouth", for starters... :hyst: :hyst: :hyst:

But, I have them in and did a quicky V-Tune off of where I left off last Christmas.

I have mostly REDS when I convert the v-tune data...  COOL!!!!  That DOES mean better placement will yield better results for sure.  Damn O2s are definitely in the exhaust stream NOW! :scoot: :scoot:  This proves to me that when I was tuning the 107 (same pipes) I was getting false reading on both the TTS AND the Twin Scan.  I can now feel good about using both my TTS and Twin Scan and obtain way better results.

Tuners like Jim don't have to worry about all of this, he has the Herko Riv Nut Set, but those of us that have bungs...  need to be sure of placements.

I will post a couple ugly pics later today.

Google?   Today in my inbox, from Amazon, was their normal BS suggestions of stuff for me to buy.....  they listed every kind of O2 bung they have for sale and I find THAT really something.  A few weeks back, I had Googled O2 bungs looking for some to buy.  (I ended up using the bungs from my Twin Scan kit.)
Oh No!

Probably welded your bung shut.. :teeth:

Then I would explode for sure.... I'm SOOOOOOOO  full of crap, I need that bung hole to be wide open at all times.

I see you finally got the airboat ride video to post.  Looked like fun!
Oh No!

If you have got logs with readings of O2 sensor voltage before and after the bung change, it would be interesting to see them.
I am looking forward to see your pictures. (O2 sensor placement is an important and interesting topic, thank you for posting.)

Truk,

Your talking about the older style of 02 sensors?

I would also like to see this.  Did you record data from a cold start getting generic O2 data?  If not with the old.  You should with the new set up.
