I have been looking for a replacement tail light and come across a Kuryakyn 5439.
In the catalog it is suitable for a FLHX, no mension for FLHXSE3 which I have, althought the fitment is the same however the original tail light is 12V 4amp the Kuryakyn in 12V 8amp.
Would the extra 4 amp draw on the Kuryakyn effect anything?

I have a HD run/turn/brake module and it says it adds an extra 5 amp draw,if I recall correctly, I assume to run the signals all the time.  As far as listing for each specific model it is probably more to do with the physical fit and liscense plate light and not the extra amps draw, not sure since you said the fitment is the same. Does yours have rear signals that are wired to run all the time as with a run/turn/brake module? If so maybe thats why.

Rear turn signals do not run all the time, however brake/tail light is on now and all seems to be working OK.
Just want to confirm the extra amp draw will not cause any problems.
Standard being 4 amp and new being 10 amps, so 6 amp more draw. No being an electrician just need to confirm there will be no long term problems.
