Thinking about buying the Midland BT Next Intercom System

My buddy and I currently have the Scala G4 Powerset intercom. It worked great for about a year then it seemed to lose connectivity quite frequently. We are going on a big trip the first week of June to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway and we are thinking about trying the Midland BT Next system. It is pricey. $400 is about the best price I can find. It is fairly new but I just wondered if anyone has tried one or their impression of other Midland motorcycle intercom products? The 'BT Next" looks to be the third generation product from Midland.

I have been running the BT2 system for a while and have no complaints about it seems to work as advertised. Very rarely do I have to repair. I think it is better than the fm scala system I had before if coupled with walky talky you have even more distance according to the instructions. I did not try that
