If anyone is getting ready to buy any Avon tires, they have a rebate going on for their Cobra, Venom, Ultra and Storm tires.

I've used several sets of the Cobra tires, they're great handling tires.

I just gave my $40 rebate to the MRS.     Avon's are great tires.

Just a reminder... 30 day to go.  I got a set of Avon Cobra's  for my 05 FLHTC through my HONDA dealer and caught a great sale price.  Then I sent in for the $40.00 rebate card.  In under 3 weeks I got not one but TWO 40 dollar rebate cards.  Three days later I got the notice from Mickey Thompson ( guess they are handling the rebates for Avon), that a processing error resulted in sending two rather than one card, but they already wiped the one card out of the system.  Still, pretty fast turn around on the rebate, and so far I'm really liking the tires.  Hard to tell how much they are helping the handling because I took my squared off bald E-3's off to put the Avons on, and at the same time gave the bike a set of Progressive 444's on the back and gas monotubes on the front.  Oh, if anyone has a few hundred bucks and some spare time, the PS monotubes are only about 5 light years ahead of the stock shock set up on the 05.

Good to hear about the rebate service, and the mono tubes. I have 440's on the back of my SG, and will do the mono tubes next.

Brian, FWIW, so far I think the monotubes have been the best money I ever spent on a motorcycle.
I got mine through http://www.powersportsuperstore.com/ and think the price was about as fair as you will find.  Note there was no shipping, but I don't remember if that was because the combined price of the monotubes & 444's pushed me over some magic number or not.

I let my Indy do the install and I hung around to get in the way.  Time included mount & balance 2 tires, vehicle inspection and install the monotubes on a FLHTC.  I pulled in the shop at 5:00 PM and was sitting at home by 9:00 PM or so, and that included drinking a cold one while we cleaned up the work area.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...The Progressive Monotubes are a major upgrade over the stock setup! Night and day difference. (2001 Fat Boy)
Better to die a million dollars in debt, than with a million in the bank!

Agreed.  Have them in my 03 fat boy.  Worth every penny.
