My 10yr old black vest has tuned to brown suede from the Nevada sun... time for a new one.
Beacuse of fitment, I've never bought a vest online so Im a bit leary but no one around here has a high quality vest available.
What I see are the thin 99.00 ones ( except for HDs with their name all over it) and I wanted a better one... black, heavy duty, quality...

So... any personal experience & recommendations for an online seller?

Past few years I've been using Chilhowee out of Grants Pass,Ore.Good prices and the leather quality has been very good.Native American Company, check out their website, shipping has always been quick.     Coff 06

These people used to make some high quality stuff, not sure about now anymore , give them a call. They used to be top of the line IMHO.

These are high quality vests with the lifetime warranty.  I own one and they do live up to the reputation.  A lot more than $99 but you get what you pay for here, no doubt about it.

I have a Fox Creek Leather vest too.  I did have to send it back to get a tall size, no problems, sent it back and got the size I needed.       Great people to deal with.  Very good quality vest.

Why wear a vest other than to display your ride pins? My arms freeze to death and my core isn't much warmer while wearing a vest.
The pirate look? :nix:

Because you can put things in the pockets of a vest.  Some of the things you can get to quick.  It is good protection on the back if you are involved in an accident.  It compliments my eye patch, gold earring, my tattoos, peg leg, and my hook.      :hyst:

 Fox Creek awesome quality workmanship, great leather. Why wear a vest you ask, well I ride a Dyna, no windshield, Great White North and no body fat.  Works awesome with the heated jacket liner under the jacket keeps the chest nice and warm, all the extra pockets are a added bonus. Made in the USA has well......Bob

Because he wants woul be my guess.
I am not a vest wearer, no chaps either and I don't remember the last time I wore my leather jacket. I wear a textile jacket if i wear one at all. I probably look like I should be riding a BMW instead of an HD.

me too lol.  I like women wearing chaps but kind of strange on guys lol. Never owned a vest not even a sweater vest when I was growing up in the 70's.  I was thinking maybe bikers ought to wear sweater vests as it would make them look warm and fuzzy.

I wear a vest because I dont like the front of my shirt flapping in the breeze... the only thing on my old vest is an American flag pin.
Doc Baileys Black has been applied several times, just made it darker, didnt return it to black
Thanks for the suggestions....

Another vote for Fox Creek.
When my current vest needs replacing, the next one will have a reinforced pocket for my Kahr 9mm.

My Fox Creek Leather vest has a gun pocket in it.  It wouldn't hold a large gun, but will smaller one.

HD, yes, Harley Davidson dealers carry a leather treatment that will turn your faded leather back to black. I've used it and it works well. I always have some handy.
Shiny side up, rubber side down.
