Silicone coupler hose

Can this silicone hose sold on ebay and various exhaust tube places withstand the heat at the header against the exhaust port?   I thought of using it as a shield in a spot where my new exhaust header exits the front head within 3/8 of the painted frame downtube.   Seems a cleaner approach than the wrap.

Many years ago when I was working as a truck mechanic, I saw our welder take a silicone hose and hit it dead on with a large rosebud from the oxy acetalyne tanks and the hose barely got warm.  Just a little soot on the hose too.
