So I recently purchased a pair of Harley saddlebags that came with the locks, but had no key's with it.  Is a locksmith the only way to go?  Would it be cheaper to just buy new locks?

My saddlebag and tourpack locks are mated to the ignition key, '08 RG.  It would probably be best to take it to the dealer and have him order locks and at least one new key mated to your bike.

My opinion.

I believe if you give the dealer your sn he can order new locks same keyed same as your bike

I just went down this road with my new tour pack. To have two keys cut was going to cost $70 dollars. I brought a matching lock for my bike from Harley with two keys for $25 Australian.

I just had a New ignition key & the two saddle bag locks reykeyd to the ignition at my local locksmith for $20.00. If you go to H-D they will only rape you.

I tried that once and the locksmith told me he couldn't reproduce the Harley key. It cost me $40 for a replacement key from the dealer. My fault though, like a dumbass I left the key in the switch and took off down the road. not thinking it was gonna fall out.

it is very hard to make a key for the lock, But if you have a key they could rekey the lock to your key.
