05 Electra 98 ci 10.5 c/r no comp releases. Its my dads bike and the starter is taking a crap. He bought a 1.6kw starter on amazon and I am supposed to be installing it. The new starter is 2&1/8 inchs longer than the original. When he bought it the seller said it would fit his bike and everything seems to match up. The problem I am having is that it is soo long that it doesn't let the oil filler housing mount back up. I took the that filler off so I'd have more room to get my big bear paws in there to get it out and then the new one in. I'm sure people use hi torque starters all the time but I'm not sure if they are all always longer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Nick
