I have a 2004 RG, thinking about lowering the front, rear is lowered 1.5". Can as good of a ride be had as the stock length, and what components would you guys recommend?

I have had the racetech lowered springs and gold valve emulators, and now have monotubes. the monotubes ride better. This was on a RK dropped 2 inches

2010 RG.  1" lowered front with Monotube and rear lowered 1" with a Progressive 440HD.  I do scrape sooner and I had to replace the kick stand with a 1" lowered stand.  Ride is fine and no real complaints.  I do kinda wish front was a bit firmer.  I like firm to hard feel.  I had to do it due to short inseams..  :)

Have a 2" lowered front suspension from Progressive on my '01 RK since new. No complaints but I have the air adjustable forks that were standard until '02 or '03.
