Ck that part#. 99 was the last yr of dual piston brakes.I believe that swingarm went back many yrs. There is a 92 swingarm on e-bay now. Cross reference the part #'s between the yrs. If patient, one will come up from the salvage yards

I just went through the same thing
mine was cracked, welded, then snapped ,metal fatigued.
Couldn't find 99-01 swingarm anywhere.
Ended retrofit to 02-06.Lots of takeoffs from trikes.
If you're lucky to score one with the bearings, Custom Cycle Engineering has a kit
that has outer spacers and inner spacers that reduce the I.D. of the bearings so you can
run your stock pivot bolt without having to line bore your transmission housing.
Then you have to run 02-06 axle/spacers and get 02-06 rear wheel or bore the hub of your wheel to 1.28 so the 02-06 crush tube will fit in.
And new 1 inch 02-06 wheel bearings.
You can bore out your brake caliper the same. I.D. As the new spacers
so the new axle will fit OR get 02-06 rear caliper too.
Lots of chasing around parts but the actual work isn't that bad
AND you wind up with a beefier, more rigid, better handling ride.

Exactly the way I did my friends 2000 RK a couple of years ago and it turned out GREAT! A little more messing around but in my opinion worth it.

If you're going to change the belt consider a later model year rear pulley. This would allow you to use the new narrower (and stronger) belt on it and in turn allow you to use the wider rear tires used on the 05-08 bikes.
