<<How about reactive control?  http://www.rocky-mountain-performance.com/  >>

<<Do they happen to make lifters as well?  I'm getting a f'n headache ... no wait, it's slipping much lower. It's been degraded to a lowly pain in the a$$ ... I can deal with that :>)  >>

:hyst:  I lurk on VTF and there is a guy over there whose answer to every pipe question is to on put this "quiet riot" goober and join the 21st century.  Pro-pipe, e-pipe, rb racing...take out the baffle and put in the QR.  Probably is the guy who makes it...LOL.  Just today he said all the knowledgeable pro's know the white bros e-pipe is a bad pipe.  Unbelievable.

Sean
I wish he would come over to real tech site and say that.
I read that same stuff over there and was like :wtf:  he also said you need to cut a hole up to 1" in the solid end of a Propipe baffle to make it work right. A real pro tuner he is----NOT.
You saw my response.

<<Actually the thing should/will work, and the concept is not new>>

yes it should work for a while on open/drag pipes...anything will be better.

but to take out a baffle from a highly refined perfromance oriented 2-1 pipe and substitute this thing is beyond ridiculous.  that 2-1 is a tuned pipe to get exhaust wave reflected back to maximize system performance...and the baffle is a big part of that.

This is all just too baffling for me. Ya know, they sell "butt plugs" at most erotica shops also, ya think maybe they kinda serve the same function? Either way, I'm not interested!

Why I had no idea you were that kinky, Ed. :hyst:
And the Propipe IMO, is not " highly refined performance oriented 2-1 pipe", but it is better than a butt plug.

Well you guys got me thinking on this V&H Propipe baffle modification sh#$ again. Now, I went out to the garage pulled my Supertrapp Mean Mothers off. Then I got the step ladder and climbed into the attic(parts bin) to grab my barely used Propipe again and try it now with the baffle mod. I've had this V&H PP on and off my bike probably a dozen times in the last 3 years and have never really got it to out perform(seat of the pants) my Mean Mothers with baffles. I'll let ya know how it shakes out!!!!! BTW I wish I owned a dyno.

my ears are ringing just looking at that bad boy!

i think i will email them the link for the goober and tell them to just put it in and it will correct all their problems...LOL.

but the do call it a PRO pipe eh?  agreed but the WB e-pipe and the RB LSR aren't propipes.

About 2 years ago?... I heard that Rich Products was going to build a Thunderheader for the larger builds...wonder whatever happened to that?

I bet they will use the excuse like everyone else it is the economy! We see and hear this so much we are starting to believe this and all the media is doing is making things worse but I can tell you that I talked to one car dealer in a small town and they sold 80 cars and HD dealer sold 13 bikes last Saturday. My business was up in 2008 and it is no different in 2009.

All I can say about what you just said is: THANK YOU!

I do not know why Rich Products has not come out with the new pipe, but I do know they have tested it to death. Maybe they have not found it really as absolutely necessary to make good power on big build as the general public assumes it is? Don't know but the existing T/H is what we use on our big builds and can report the numbers are very competitive with anything I've seen here or any other forum/website that reports properly corrected results.

Well well, the bike does seem to perform alot better after the baffle mod on the Pro Pipe. I removed the baffles "butt plug" and hose clamped 2 rows of holes. Seams like more torque while still keeping top end. Maybe this weekend I'll experiment more with baffle mod to see what performs best. I think I'll track down my Buddy and his Suz M109 for comparison again.
