sportster fork oil?

i changed the fork oil in my 2001 sportster for the first time and 10oz came out of the left forl and 6oz out of the right fork.should i put another 4oz in the right side?i have no leaks so i dont understand why the same amount didnt come out

You need the same amount in each fork leg.
The problem is, was there 10oz of oil in the right fork leg and you only got 6oz out? Or was there only 6oz in there in the first place?
The only way to be sure is to drain the right fork leg again and make sure you do get all the oil out. Then put in 10oz.

Overfilling the right fork leg by 4oz will probably blow the fork oil seal if you hit a big bump or brake hard from speed, and it might make the front suspension feel harsh.

tube/slider assembly with 9.0 fl oz. (266 ml) (WET fork)
or 10.2 fl oz. (302 ml) (DRY fork) of TYPE “E” FORK OIL.
