Here is my 04' XL1200C converted to a 1250. I added the dual front brakes and had a 19" wheel chromed. Hope to paint it this winter.

Here is whats in the motor etc...

Daytona Twin Tec Coil, TC88A ignition module and sparkplug wires plugged onto Nipon Denso Iridium sparkplugs.

Pingle fuel valve, Mikuni HSR 42, Hammer Performance Air Hammer breather with forward offset and 3" K&N filter.

Samson Caliber 2 into 1 exhaust.

Hammer Performance Crush head work with 1.900" intake valves and 1.615" exhaust valves with 30* squish cut.

Hammer Performance 1250 cylinders with Hammer Performance Sledge Hammer Pistons with 30* reverse dome.

Hammer Performance custom push rods, S&S forged roller rockers, JIMS Powerglide II tappets on top of HAMMER Performance Crush 600 cams.

Bronze oil pump drive gear and Buell oil pump.

Energy One Clutch

All Balls Racing starter motor with Terry Components battery cables.

I also added an extra crankcase vent in the camchest cover with a Krankvent.

Can't wait to get it on the dyno. Should run pretty strong.

My '04 XL1200R the day I brought it home.  Bought it about 6 months ago with only 3,750 miles on it.  And yes I have replaced the broken oil tank cap since then.

Since this is my first post on this forum, allow me a little intro.  I'm an older fart and I've been riding (with a license) for 52 years.  Dad was a Harley mechanic most of his life and was an instructor at the Army's motorcycle mechanic school in Ft. Knox during WWII.  So, I'm kinda partial to Harleys, but I'm not a fanatic.  I have owned bikes from all the major manufacturers over the years and enjoyed them all.  The Roadster currently shares the garage with an '09 Electra Glide Classic, an '03 Moto Guzzi California Titanium, and a '74 Yamaha DT360.

A small project to occupy myself during last winter. A 72 replica on a 06' 883 low named "872".

China twin 88

An 883 came up for sale with a legal Beijing tag.... good buy with a legal tag which is worth more than the bike.....but I was wondering what is the word on the 883L .....it is running fine and is a 2012 with less than 10K kilometers on the clock.  Any mods anyone has done and were happy with, any problems with these bikes.. I noticed 1200 conversions seem to be frequent....
