I hope I am placing this post in it's proper place.
I am new here, so feel free to move it if need be.

I have a 2012 FLHTC. It has the advanced HK Radio System, and Hogtunes Speakers, Tweeter Pod and Hogtunes Amp too. I purchased an HD XM Radio Kit that I am preparing to install soon. It did come complete with 76165-06A Module, 70172-06 Overlay Harness, XM Antenna and the Antenna Bracket too.

I just have a couple of questions please?

*Do I have the proper Overlay Harness for my install on my bike?
*Will having the Hogtunes system change my install any?
*Should I mount the XM  Antenna as designed on the Bracket inside the Fairing, or outside the fairing on top of the dash? I have read mixed comments on this!
*Anyone have any tips that I should know about?

Thank you in advance,
Dom

Thanks for the reply flanger.
Do you have it mounted to the HD Sirius Bracket on the side of the Fairing Bracket?

I just installed my old XM in my bike...somebody gave me a great idea for removing the front fairing...Use heavy socks to cover the spotlights and stop scratches.

The spotlights are smooth and shouldn't cause any damage to the fairing.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

But they looked cool covered with my old socks...

If you didn't wash the socks first, they will corrode the chrome on the spotlights.
At least MINE did!
