Piston wrist pin removal

Now I have the motor out of the bike and on my bench. The cylinders off and noticed the clips that hold the wrist pins in the piston are not like the C clips but instead look like the are spiral clips. What is the best way to remove these since my Harley tool is not going to work on this clip.

Small screw driver or dental pick to get the spiral started. Then take a set of needle nose or small pliers and work it out of the piston.

 Ohio HD said it all.... Wait til you need to install them,,,kinda a pain....If switching pistons ,,,run the circlip that come with.

Thanks guys. I have installed them and yes they are a pain. I have never had to remove them bofore.
