Any good or bad news about the FuelPac.  I have a 2005 Flhtni. Was wondering if a good idea.  Wingie

Good if one of the canned maps is EXACTLY what you did with your bike.
Bad otherwise, since they are not tuneable and Vance & Hines will not tell you how to even try.

I Agree with Ray... tried getting info from V&H a few times on what numbers meant what... far better off with a good tuner of an other kind...If you dont want to spend the $$ for a auto tune device even a PC is far better then a Fuelpac

My neighbor got one for his 2010 Limited when we put on a V&H Power Duels setup. He called V&H, told them what he had and the told him what numbers to punch in. We installed it and punched in the numbers and he says it now runs great and no problems.

I used the TTS on my RKC, runs great.
I used the FuelPac on my Street Bob, runs great.
Don't use the canned map included, email for the latest map.

I had one on my Ultra, wouldn't have another! POS in my opinion!!!

I put one on my 07 Ultra in the summer of 2007. At the time I had a S.E. air filter and V&H basic slip-ons. It cured the pinging under load when it was hot. I still have it (adjusted to K&N air filter and V&H true duals with Bassani slip-ons) no issues....yet...

As far as ease of operation it is great.  I will say I have been lookig to do a 95 kit and cams and they have a map for that.  I will try it when I do go bug bore and see how it works out.  As far as the setup I have now I am experiencing a sputter at 2800 rpms.  I callled them and they gave me some numbers to change.  We will see if that works.

I will say that my father has a 08 roaking with vance and hines pipes and a hi-flow and it works awesome.  The problem is when you go with components that are not directly vance and hines.  They do not test every part so if you have the fuelpak and want to stay with it it is best to check to see what parts they have maps for.

My 09 FLHT ran great in stage 1 form with the FuelPac installed..

My understanding of the fuel pack is you can't change the timing with the fuel pack. This was a few years ago, there may have been some changes to the fuel pack :nix:

I ran one a few years back.Put it on a 95" stage II dealer BB kit.The bike ran pretty good but had BAD decel pop.Contacted V&H and they sent me adjustments to the map.No more decel pop,no more performance, bike ran like "Potty mouth".Contacted V&H again,NO happy medium, original map,or the adjusted map, nothing else.I started going through their maps untill I found one that ran good and had limited decel pop. Then after a short time it would only run on one cylinder at start up,and would eventually pick up the other one.Dumped it in a hurry when I changed the build,I had lost all faith in it. I feel for the price, there is better stuff out there.        Coff 06

I agree to a point. If all you're doing to your motor is pipes and A/C then the fuel pak is a cheap and easy option to enrich the air fuel mix. If you do any motor work at all, you should look for something else. It is very limited in its performance enhancing capabilities.

runamuck

I have had one on a couple of bikes and they improved the performance and reduced the heat on both bikes for not much money. like someone else said you cant change timing with one , but if you dont want to start the endless tinkering with maps and other settings that people do after they get the other kind of tuning aids you will probably get good results from adding one. v-h quickly replied back to me with new values to enter whenever I thought I needed some adjustment and it was mostly an install and ride kind of thing for me. I have had t-max and powervision..with those it is very hard not to keep tinkering with the settings trying to get the best setup..if you think you are too smart for one or want to squeeze out every potential bit of power  then there are many better products to buy. I have a powervision on one my bikes now but I loaded the map they emailed me and called it good..
