Hey everybody!! New to the site.
I purchased a 1975 FXE Shovelhead in need of many repairs and a little TLC.  I put a stock set of forward controls on her and I'm not quite sure where the brake light switch mounts.  She currently has the stock brake light switch that when the switch button is pushed in the brake light turns off. I'm running juice brakes and confused on where to mount the switch.
Does anyone know if the stock switch works with stock forward controls or will I need a different switch?
Thanks

right side behind the trans kicker should be a tab for the transition from metal tube to rubber brake line

Behind the transmission on the right side tranny plate mount bolt there should be a brake T with the brake light switch on it.
I've also seen them on the frame mount behind the oil pump and on one of the rear tranny Kicker cover bolts.

Crawmonkey,
These guys are right there should be a T for a hydraulic switch in that area near the tranny but you wouldn't be talking about the little switch that goes in the handlebar housing for the front brakes are you or is it this one for the rear?

Thanks to all for your input.  In response to Dirtymike, there is a switch mounted by the transmission but its a mechanical switch.  I bought a hydraulic switch for it but wasn't sure about the mounting.  So I guess I need to get a tee and I guess I'll need two brake lines.  One from the pedal to the tee and one from the tee back?  I'm assuming these would be stock lines.  No special lengths?
Thanks again for your everyone's help.

If your line is in good shape, just cut it, add two fittings, double flare the line, thread into the T, and bleed, then ride. But you do want to support the switch and T so's not to cause line fracture from vibration.

The line that was on it has seen better days.  I'll pick up a couple of new ones.  I'll have to mount the switch and get the measurements.
Thanks

Had the very same bike. Installed forward controls and it came with a line that come down the right side of the frame. You just need a T fitting to connect the metal line from the front reservoir and the rubber line for the banana caliper in the rear. Screw in your switch that you showed in the picture and connect your wires. Simple install, you will probably just have to make a bracket to mount it to the frame, as mine was a few inches off and I didn't want to cut and flare the line.
