I just ordered this clutch for my 07 deuce. What kind of oil are you guys running with this clutch? I've been running red line primary oil with my socker, should this still be good? Any other advice for this setup?

I was told to use synthetic type F tranny fluid.

Don't know why you'd need synthetic, but I tried ATF and it caused the clutch to chatter. I went back to Formula + and all is good now.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

The 2007 up comps don't like ATF.....FWIW

That is interesting.  I have always had an intermittent chatter.  When it occurs it is leaving a stop sign with no consideration as to how hard I accelerate.  Sometimes it does it, most of the time it doesn't.  It has always done this and has always had the ATF in it.  Someone had posted here before that Barnett was having a problem the clutches from about the time I purchased mine and had made some kind of a modification to fix it.  It was some extra part that they included in the kit, I don't know what it is.  So are you saying, and is there a general agreement here, that using Formula + will not damage the clutch?  If so I'll give it a try and see how it works out.

I have been running B&M trick shift in my scopion clutch for about the last year.  No problems so far.  Put about 6k miles on it.

I was using ATF type F in a stock Harley clutch when the chatter started and when I switched back to primary specific oil (Formula+), the chatter went away, I don't know anything about Barnett clutches. :nix:

The instructions that came with my scorpion says to use type f atf or light viscosity, motorcycle specific oil designed for use in a wet primary application. I have used type f atf with no issues.
