Looking at a Fatboy fender for '02 FLHT and have read that the Fatboy fender will fit but with the "necessary adapaters".  Does anyone know what the adapters are and if they are a dealer item?

I found a dealer item in the touring section; Fatboy Front Fender Adapter.  Looks like the adapter attaches to the fender mount bosses on the FLHT fork leg and the FB fender mounts to the adapater. Anybody know if this is correct?

Sounds like the one's alright. I had a fatboy fender on my RK several years back & got my chrome adaptor off of e-bay. I think drag specialist has them also & you can get them in black now too. They bolt to the fat boy fender then to your forks. The fatboy fender is a little narrower & the mounting holes might be a little different than an FLH if I recall correctly. The adaptors take care of the alignment & installation & an easy install.

I have been running a Fatboy front fender on my Flhtc for 4 years it looks good but something to consider is that you dont have the same protection as the FL fender you get more road grime on the front of your motor and you get alot more water off the front wheel in the rain

I have thought about that and am also looking at the FLHX front fender for that very reason.
