Couple of thoughts:

Pain between the shoulder blades is most likely caused by having to reach forward to the handlebars for extended periods of time.  I've had the same problem with several HD baggers, changing out the handlebars with models that extend further toward the rider has always corrected the problem. When choosing a set of handlebars, keep in mind that in your normal riding position, you do not want to reach forward, you want to ride in a relaxed configuration with your elbows slightly bent.

The lack of rear lighting on a Road King can be overcome several ways.

- One is with the modification kit that HD has that turns the two rear turn signal lights into brake lights also.  The kit includes the two red lenses.   It is a plug and play unit that does not require any special wiring and works very well.  I put the kit on my Ultra in about 15 minutes.

- Another solution is to change out the stock HD tail/brake light assembly with an LED version. HD has one on the market, but compared with at least one aftermarket product, it is not very bright and certainly not worth what HD sells it for.

I highly recommend BRIGHT ASS LIGHTS !    http://www.brightasslights.com/site

Their taillight assembly is a plug and play unit and is advertised as the brightest on the market today.  I have one on my Ultra and I believe their claim!      The unit comes with a powerful magnet that allows you to change the flash patterns.  I have mine set to flash four times before it stays on solid.  My son has the HD LED unit on his Road King Classic and it is maybe half as bright as the Bright Ass Light on my Ultra.  I've had riders behind me tell me that it really gets their attention.   My wife has said the same thing after following me in her vehicle.

The Bad Ass Light I put on my Ultra is the BAL-1 http://www.brightasslights.com/site/categories?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=1&category_id=1
