I'm looking for some suggestions from the resident TTS gurus.

Just finished my build and done the heat cycles and ring seating and 50 mile oil / filter change.
I think I'm running a bit rich and wanted to do some vtuning in the areas I'm running.
(still riding pretty conservative and less than 3500 rpm but I thought I'd get a few cells)

Attached is the data file and a histogram jpg.

Carrying the laptop in a bag strapped to the sissy bar and not using a remote monitor like I usually do.
Started recording after starting the bike and idled for about 7 mins to get up to 167* for engine temp and switch from 'waiting' to 'good'. (record  no 1967)
Put the laptop in the bag and off I went.
Pulled back into my garage after a 25 minute run .
Pulled the laptop out of the bag , increase to record no 2300 and 3 cells filled in ??
TPS 0% and rpm 750,1000,1125
Ran the bike another minute and blipped the throttle a few times and filled in another 7 cells but only got two green.

My max rpm shows as 2000 rpm and that was in the garage , I was up to 3500 rpm out on the road.
Total record no was 2631 for data collected in 33 mins but only 333 record no for 25 mins on the road.
No evidence of dropouts , no DTC's
TPS doesn't seem right.
Engine temp jumped 65* when I pulled into the driveway!

Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Did you set the laptop up according to the TTS instructions?
There are certain things like the sleep mode etc when you close the lid that need to be disabled .

Vibration will shut them down too.

I swapped pipes about 12 months ago and spent a fair bit of time vtuning to get my head around the process in preparation for this.
Didn't experience these problems then . Same laptop , same settings.

This is a possibility.
I've modified the rear suspension and laptop is strapped to sissybar , last time I had it in a backpack and I'll go back to that next time.
Wouldn't the log indicate dropouts?

Thanks

The penny just dropped !
The sudden jump in engine temp.
Anything else to look for to confirm this?

With that type and intensity of vibrations @ the sissy bar it's not hard to believe the system stopped logging and tried to stay alive...This is assuming your laptop has a normal spinning hard drive and not a solid state drive, right?

Yes Bob
normal spinning hard drive @ the sissy bar  :embarrassed:

Just been for a data run with the laptop in the backpack.
All good.

Thanks Red Ron Bob
