It was just slipping on top end, then it went to not releasing at all due to the steels being warped. I am sure that if I hammer it often, a new JIMs assembly will be in my future. I just hope this abuser clutch with the thicker steels will work ok with the MRC ramp.

New clutch from the great folks at Rivera is on the UPS truck, ready for delivery. Do me a favor and keep your fingers crossed for me...

New Rivera clutch holds like superglue, shifts like butter. I am a happy and cold scooter tramp.  :bike:

A big thanks the Mike at Rivera for all of his help, and great customer service!

Great!! Hope it keeps holding strong.  Was there a part # on the box?

Flat Dog

Shoot-forgot to look, and the shop tossed the bag. I would imagine that Primo Rivera would be able to give you the info. The steels are a LOT thicker than the standard pro clutch.

Nah, no problem..I will be in touch with them right after the new year. Thanks!

They call it an 'Abuser' clutch. AFAIK, the only difference is that all of the steels are thicker than the standard pro clutch, rather than just one thick plate. The stock silver spring version was slipping hard on the dyno under load.

I was looking at this as well and I am curious about the B&M Slick Shift? Does Kirby mean B&M Trick Shift?
Thanks,<br />Whip

Yes I am sure that's what he meant .
It didn't work so good for me with a SE compensator
Clutch hooked good . Comp got beat up real bad .

No, i never followed through with that Jim. I just pulled my clutch apart again last night and its still mint. Dont know how, but it made me happy to see. Well, especially since my chain and rear sprocket are f'd.
