Harleys black ice wheel treatment

I have not seen this  wheel treatment in the flesh but I'm entertaining mounting the 17 inch 9 spoke on my 02 flh standard and of course would want to have the rear treated as close as possible. Anyone in the know on this treatment is it a chrome plate under a transparent black powdercoat or just a new powdercoat ??????

That's exactly what it is. They claim proprietary but it's done plenty of places.

Had to Google that one as I never heard of it before but the results on wheels are fantastic.  Would live to switch mine out but they are still good and I'd rather spend the money on something else. 

Wonder what it would cost to have the factory wheels redone over the winter?  If it only cost an arm, I might go for it.  An arm and a leg are too much at this time.

Doubt it's cheap but damn they look good done that way.

not sure what it is but over 10 years I worked at a place that did powercoat and bought some translucent stuff that went over chrome did my air cleaner and inspection covers, still look pretty good now. got it on line from the eastwood co. they make powercoating.
