s&s manual compression releases

Has anybody used s&s manual compression releases and how do you rate them?

I have been using them for about two years now. So far no problems. If they ever were to stick open tho, would be a pia to clean. But that goes with the auto ones too. I mounted the pull knob on the top rear support bolt with a little home made L bracket
Not a lot of room next to spark plug for standard comp releases on s&s heads but I've heard it can be done

Thanks for reply and photos tdrglide. Thats what i wanted to hear as i do not want to have to buy rocker boxes to fit auto compression releases.

we use GOODSON releases and put the right in front of the plugs
