QuoteI don't recall the manual stating it being a 1 time use bolt, any info there?

I've not seen anything, BUT, the torque is 100 ft-lbs, back off 1/2 turn, then final torque to 175 ft-lbs, and being only $4 a pop I'd be keeping a few spare on the shelf and replace them each rebuild.

The bolt prior to this new T70 Torx was a one time use bolt with torque of 100 ft-lbs , back off 1/2 turn with final of 140 ft-lbs, so I'll say that these new T70 Torx are one time use or at least should be.  I know what I'll be doing.

Agreed. I've added it to my parts order list. Thanks

In my conversation with TR today, he says Cometic has just released head gaskets for the liquid cooled motors. I didn't see them on their website, probably have to call. Just passing info for anyone interested.

I'm not here cause of a path before me, Im here cause of the burnout left behind

N-gin

The head cc would be a tad lower with all the carbon, no.
So possibly 81cc cleaned up?

Update:
TR put the crank on the truing stand, measured .004 pinion side, and .005 sprocket side at end of shafts, on the races he measured .0005 pinion, .0012 sprocket. In the cases I measured .008 pinion and .009 sprocket. He felt the case alignment was off, so I sent him the cases, and sure enough the left side was .003 off from the right side. Timken conversion will have the cases in alignment, and crank will get printed, balanced and welded. Hoping to have everything back the week after Thanksgiving.

We decided to stay with the mild 107, 577 cam, stock throttle body. The bike will be used for touring, so don't want to get too crazy with it. He has a 130 HP Dyna for when he wants to get squirrely.

Also found out the o-rings, washers and spring clips for the coolant lines and manifolds are not included in the overhaul gasket kit #16500245.

Bonfire after the chainsaw party. Stay warm my friends!

Nice to see someone doing it right, rather then shoving a prefabbed insert into an existing factory sized bearing hole and assuming it's in alignment.

Going to be a solid build looks like! Gotta appreciate a guy wanting to do things the right way and not cut corners. .003 aint much but you'd think with the deep pockets the MoCo has and the tooling they have they could get the cases and cranks to line up and turn true. They used to do that on earlier models so have a hard time understanding why they dont know? I guess when production goes up, quality usually goes down. Running gears in the cam chest?

I see the stock rods are still in. Why didn't you swap out to the full end rods? TR told me he wouldn't recommend those tapered end rods

As was said, no bushings to spin. TR says they'll be fine for this application, we're trying to find some effincies for this build, and reusing the stock rods fit the bill. He said the big ends were a little tight, he resized them with new bearings.

So what are the specifics, Billy? Port sizes, valve sizes, build, Tb, pipe, cams, compression? Looks like those valves are sunk and shrouded a bit. TR's craftsmanship is pretty impeccable though.

Intake is port 1.760, valves are 2.000 & 1.610, cams are TR's 577, compression is at 10.79 static, 89cc chambers, .036 HG. For the pipe, we're going to try for now a factory 2-1 with the cats removed and a Jackpot muffler. Planned on using the stock TB, but after todays flow test, I don't think it will get the job done.

107 cyl, Stock TB and AC. Tested as pictured.

I take there's about a 7cc dome on the slugs?
