Good to see some smart young guys coming along, imagine how smart he's going to be when he gets to our age and by then most of us will be pushing up daisies.   :teeth:

Tman also has a new cam plate.  It dumps pressure to cam chest and not inlet.  Works with stock plunger set ups.

Who else besides Bob will admit to seeing the alleged 'Adams Apple'? That was a tall woman, but its saddle bags were way too full and had too much junk in the trunk to be a man. Or maybe not, I don't know. I just find it odd that what appeared to be three women walk by and Bob is checking them out for adams apples. Hmm?

here's some group pics of a couple of the forum meet and greets:

From the Millennium Lounge:

in that pic is mother, durwood, strokerJLK, autoworker, turboprop, Valley Racing's mechanic (sorry, forgot his name  :embarrassed: ), snuff, California Phil, tweekmytwin, and a very clean cut rigid thumper.

Tqinc, Tattoo, Black Hills Ken, and Max Headflow. Right before I took this pic, Tattoo was shocked that my camera, was actually still a camera.   :embarrassed:

I snapped a pic of Tattoo fiddling with his camera:

apparently he uses some thin hardware device that fits in his pocket and doubles as a cellular communicator.   I think TQ was trying to figure out what I was snapping a pic of as well.   :teeth:

From the Expo after hours welcome party:

WFO Larry, strokerJLK, LazerP, and Durwood

WFO Larry and Jim.  This pic is evidence that we took pretty good advantage of the free beer at the event.  :teeth:

I was a bit of a slacker this year with pics, so hopefully some of the rest of you guys took some.  I know I missed taking pics of a bunch of active forum guys.  A few of the ones I talked to throughout the event, but failed to snap a pic of were: BVhog, Valley Racing (Brian), Joe_Lyons, CCDan, flhxi2go, HDperf, hrdtail78, BB, 92flhtcu, Jamie Long, JK, wurk truk, Doc1, JBPerformance and cherryseeg2.  I'm sure I missed more too.  It was good seeing everyone, and I'm already looking forward to going again next year.

To Joe and BV: I don't think the guy from Bikerbar will ever be the same. It was great putting faces to the online names.

It was obvious Ed that junk in the trunk was actually his junk tucked back there and the adams apple was obvious after seeing the 5 oclock shadow.

This was my 1st rodeo, I had a great time. I was fortunate enough to sit in on some discussions and listen to the HTT pros in the industry. Met some cool dudes and appreciated their friendliness to a new guy. Durwood and Stroker, thank you for showing me how a couple southern boys party! :oil:! And thanks to Mayor for the friendly welcome to the HTT community.

Doubt it, pretty sure there's not enough beer to make him purty enough to even fool a tuner.  :hyst:

Unless the tuner had a tuner, he would be a head turner

The discussion was pretty deep. Larry gave out some real good secrets about heads and flow but after all that scotch and bourbon I wish I could remember what it was about..

Bassani Bros had a new FXR pipe that looked really good. I like how its rear mount was to the transmission and not the frame. The two gents manning the booth said bungs for wide bands would be incorporated into future production runs of the pipe.

Snip

I looked at it and it was way too bulky..

Two Bros had a real nice looking 2 into 1 for Dyna..

I'd also be looking at the Fuelmoto pipe if they can tuck it in a little..

Bruce (Aka MaxHeadFlow) has not changed a bit. I think he was wearing the same outfit that he wore last year and the year before. Sort of like Einstein who was too smart to pick out his clothes so he had an entire wardrobe of nothing but light blue button down shirts and kahki pants. I suspect Bruce has an entire wardrobe of nothing but red flannel shirts, Sykes shirts and well worn jeans. In all seriousness, Max is a pleasure to be around, very entertaining and highly educational.

Hey azzhole! At least they were washed..  I've really switched to a denim shirt but sucked about 12 inches of the front of the shirt into a 2 inch shop vac.. It looked worse than the flanel.. The other one had a funny smell that would have probably gotten me into trouble..  :embarrassed:

Jim Kitzmiller (Aka JK) While unkown to many, John is a partner to Dan Fitz at Zippers and is an extremely nice guy. I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to interact with him a bit at the show.

John and I spent a bunch of time talking old dirt bikes.. Mainly CZs

Things at I saw that were interesting were..

Custom Cycle Engineering had dyna motor mounts for drag racers.. The guy said that the stockers were getting ripped from hard launches.. I looked at it and think the rear can be modified slightly to help with Dyna handling.. IMO The Sputhe and other rear links have too much flex to do anything..

Terry Cable had a rear shock for baggers that has progressive damping.. Once the guy said it didn't have any shim stack I lost interest..

Ikon out of Australia is selling Koni shocks under the Ikon Name.. MRSP on the shocks is only about $400.. Dyna shocks are a bit more.  They are basically the same shock Koni was making when they stopped production.. They aren't gas, real easy to rebuild, use a shim stack for 2 speed damping and have a rebound adjustment.  For me a gas shock is overrated for a bagger.. A non gas one should last longer as it doesn't have any pressure on the shaft seal.

I had a good discussion with MarkP and Andy (engineer) from Baker Drivetrain about helical gears and the output bearing on the HD 6 speeds vs the Baker.   Went to Bert's drivetrain seminar and the guy was pretty entertaining while giving out good tech info about his stuff.

I spent a bunch of time talking to the guys at Thunderheart.. Both John K and Dan Fitzmaurice (Zippers) kept introducing to other guys over in he Thunderhart area.. Some seemed to think that there was some friction between Zipper's and Thunderheart.. As far as I can tell. it was never that way.. Originally the units were bulk shipped to Zippers for packaging and shipping.. Zipper's seemed to be doing some of the tech support.. All that stuff pulled back to Thunderheart which really make more sense for then product. They have full time tech support and pretty much guarantee answers within 24 hours.. Critical stuff can be answered within and hour.. The best way to contact them through email with as much info as possible.. A log file with the motor on the side-stand idling for a minute or 2 usually identifies 90% of the issues..

The new wave tuning uses a better adaptive algorithm to tune in the AFRs.. They found that it automaps even faster than the older units.. Unfortunately this new tuning is only available for the later units that use USB instead of RS232.  One of the engineers went over the items that are recorded in the AFR monitor logs.. I told them that they need to have a graphic interface for logs.. They seemed pretty receptive as I wasn't the first to request it..

Had a good discussion with Jamie about his pipes.. Spent some time talking to the guys at Dynojet.. Got some interesting info..

As usual it was great to see everyone..

I'm disappointed Max, I would have thought hanging out with mayor for three days would have at least got an honorable mention.   :teeth:
