I want to remove the throttle plate and shaft on a 07 TB for cleaning.

Any 'gotchas' I need to be aware of?

Are the screws that hold the plate on fixed with red loctite?

Billy

I wouldn't remove the plate and shaft for cleaning. I would remove all sensors and injectors, then spray it clean with carb cleaner while turning the throttle.

Ok, I guess I won't disassemble the plate.  I swear I felt a little roughness opening the plate after doing some port matching.

you guys sure any stray aluminum particles will clean out without removing it?

Thanks for the guidance....

Back home way: stuff a couple of soft cloth towels into the TB>USED a long screw driver to push as far back as i could BOTH sides.   APPLY 1 can of TB CLEANER!! Cloths caught all the crap cleaned air temp/map etc. Removed the soiled soft cloth from each port. Works on a car AND did not remove ANYTHING from TB!!
