Bike is '02 FLHT with OEM bars.  I need a bit more pullback and rise.  Have narrowed down H-D Touring Pullback bars (PN55914-98), Krome Werks +2 or 2+2 Sweepers or HCC Bagger Apes; all offer similar rise and pull back.  Trying to figure out if handle bar control wiring, clutch, throttle/idle cable and/or brake lines need to be replaced; I am thinking with 2+ more inches of rise and 2.5" plus inches of pull back and either 4" or 8" of additional width (except the H-D Touring Pullback width); all need to be extended.

Also wondering what difference the extra 4" or 8" of width; good or not?

I have also noted that if ordering a "kit", i.e., bars, wire/cable/brake extensions, the Road King and Road Glide kits are different form the Electra and Street Glide kits; fitment is different but aside from the bat wing, not sure why the difference. Just thinking out loud; guidance on any of the above would be appreciated.

With the +2 Sweepers, everything fits. If using 2+2 Sweepers, cables and hose must be at least 2" longer....   Just doing a '00 right now....    Wireing is long enuf for both.

Nobody else can tell you what handlebars will fit YOU . we are all different . sit on bike ,put hands where you want them to be and measure rise width and pullback ,then buy bars that match your measrements

2+2 sweepers on my 02 FLHTC. Had to get a longer clutch cable and went for a Magnum braided brake line (can't recall if stock length or not, I'll check). Stock brake line worked just had to be bent slightly, did a friends 03 FLHTCUI and he kept the stock brake line. I like the bars a lot, very comfortable. Only other choice I would have made were Klock Werks ergo up, similar to heritage bars I ran on my Road Kings. Really like the look and position of these bars but way over priced for a set of handle bars in my opinion.

djl, went with +2 krome werks on my 11 FLHTC, +2" clutch cable to keep it in stock location,
good fit for me @ 5'-7"  didn't get my feet any closer to ground but hardly noticed extra width
only problem, had to put stock mirrors back on, couldn't see S/Glide mirrors I had just installed..

Check the specs on the Santee Bagger Bars also. I'm 5'8" and have tried a number of
bagger bars. The Santee bar was by far the best fit for me.

stock Harley heritage softail bars work with out any wire or cable changes they have more rise and pull back. I had them on two different road kings. but like the man said you won,t know until you try them yourself

Understood. Have measured; the three bars referenced in my OP meet my fitment requirements.
Now most interested in install details, i.e., wire, cables, etc. Went through a bar change on my Deuce; a real PITA.  Trying to think this all the way through before ordering anything.

Wild one WO575 are really nice bars and will fit without new cables or lines.

Don't most manufacturers give the spec's regarding their bars and the cable/wire lengths necessary on their web sites? I know Wild Ones did when I changed my bars years ago I even called them and spoke about using a different length than the had on their site.

Ive used the HD touring pullbacks before , real comfortable to me ,needed longer wires

I have tried a couple of different bars from Harley on my 2000 FLHTC (Can't remember the actual part numbers, afflicted with CRS)
One set set I think were the Reduced Reach bars, The "pull back" caused my wrists to be twisted to where it was uncomfortable,
I believe I have the "Tallboy bars" on now. They are real comfortable, I did not change any of the wires or cables, I did have to reroute some. The brake line I had to move up a little and change the bend in the rigid tubing section by the bars.
If I remember right, someone had a "how to" pictorial on changing the bars that worked real good. I changed them without taking the fairing off I know.
There used to be a chart with all the measurements of Harley bars. If you do a Google search there is a comparision chart someone has done up as well.

I put the KW +2 on my 09 ultra..they gave a little more back and a little wider hand position. I am tall and felt that the stock bars had me sitting with my hands and elbows closer in to my body than I wanted. had to replace clutch cable with longer one from Barnett. easy job but time consuming because of all the little things that need to be done.

Runamuck    Do you have a part number for the bars you have?
