Has anybody tried a Mustang touring seat and a HD Hammock seat.
I would like to hear the pros and cons of both seats.
Whats your thoughts?

Haven't tried the hammock, but I love my Mustang. Even my wife says it's the best money I have spent on the bike.
Pros: very, very comfortable, well made. I've had it 7 years and no sign of wear.
Cons: sits higher and closer to the tank. I'm 6'-3" so I can still reach the ground but I wish it was farther back from the tank so that I could stretch out more.

Agree with all he said. 10 years and over 60,000 miles and still looked almost new. You can call the folks at Mustang, they are great to deal with. I use their backrest for long trips also.

I've been using Mustang seats for the past 17 years on 3 different bikes ('82 FLHC, '03 FLHTC, '10 FLHTCU) = Great Seats!!
Purchased a new bike this past summer that came with the heated/hammock seat.  Both my wife and I think that's the most comfortable seat we've come across.
Every day, I'm one day closer...  WTF!  I'm not near 70 yrs. old!

Same as what    98roadking said   Have had mine 10 years.

Had three mustang seats on previous bikes.  They are GREAT!!!!
On my newest (11RG), I was going to order a Mustang but the dealer had a hammock on the for sale table for approx $200 as I recall.  He let me put it on my bike for a test ride.  Got back to the dealership a couple hours and many miles later.  He had the invoice ready - knew I was going to buy it!!!  I did buy it and have been very happy with it also.  Ridden to Daytonal BW twice with it (700 miles each way) only stopping for potty/food/gas breaks.
To me, the only shortcomming is the width - wish it was a little wider.  Over the years, the seats seem to be getting narrower - have no idea why:-)
Either seat is a good choice - just find the one that fits you best.  That is the 'bottom' line....
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

altho we sell lots of hammock seats I am not a fan,, sit weird, and very little lower back support,, mustang makes a great seat,, but I am a fan of the sundowner,, had it on my last 5 bikes,, I think I've simply gotten used to it.. ok,, i might also be a little strange!!

No exp w/ the HD Hammock, but have had my Mustang Regal for 9yrs, 90k.
I'm also 6'3" and actually sit back more and lower than my stock seat(I cant stand using a backrest) Great lower support for me just against the back of the dish so to speak. Only thing I had to do was add a rolled up rag under the front of the passenger seat as the boss kept sliding up a bit. Many 500mi or more days, never sore

My experience only

Need a bigger garage

Never had a mustang seat but the wife had a really hard time riding the road king with the stocker, 75 miles and she was hurting. Actually said she didn't want to ride anymore.
Put a hammock on it and she goes all day now with no complaints.  Charlotte to Daytona only stopping for gas and a meal, said she could keep going with no problems.

Called Mustang yesterday.
They stated they are not going to build a seat for the 2014 Touring models, as the 2013 mounting is the same.
Since the seat changes in 2014 were mostly in the passenger area (wider and longer), this didn't sit well with the wife.
I am still thinking Mustang.

Ohio HD

I've used and like Mustang seats for many years. That being said, I started sending my HD OEM seats to Mean City Cycles, he makes what ever changes I ask for, and they are very comfortable, and still look factory. He's fast too.
