I have a set of TC S&S cases that came bored for 4.00" cylinders and they only have one dowel per cylinder instead of two like oem which probably works just fine but.. I may want to use stock cyl for a 103 or 107 build (4.375crank)but I wouldn't feel comfortable with out the added stability of the extra dowel pin has anyone machined a set of these cases for the second dowel?

The dowel doesn't add any stability and probably weakens the area between the cylinders.

I run those cases at 4.250 and no problems ever with any leaks or strange issues.

When boring for 4 1/4, I'd prefer not to have the hole..

BTW,, I'd think about trying 110 or 113 cylinders .. Bet the 110 would work but just like using stock cylinders, you'll need to trim them some and use a base gasket..   If I understand correctly the 110 cylinders use an O ring and not a gasket..

I have an 02 standard that's been a 107 for 11 years and Ive poured a ton of money in it learning and fixing and amthinking about retiring it allthough it is running great  . Oil consumption is allways a come and go problem when I put it back together for this and that over the years and this past year it got another crank, hone and  rings and the heads refurbished for the third time . Due  to illness I only got maybe 4400 miles on it for 2013 and its sucked up a quart of oil in 3000 of them allready . Nothing on the plugs 8-10 percent leak down. This past year I tried total seal 2nd ring and it really sucked oil bad just like a few years ago when I tried them and I allways have oil hanging off the int guides and that's with 3-4 different seals sooo sorry for the long rant but I starting to entertian a  different motor compo with these cases and get away from the 4.125" cylinders (axtell and now MTC , perhaps a set of S&S cyl will seal better?) and research what would be a good bore with a good sealing and long life track record!. As stated the S&S case is bored for 4.00" cylinders and thats why I asked about the dowel if I chose to run oem cylinders @ 103 or 107 with a 4 3/8 crank but am open for opinions 110" ,113" I will also try and pin point my currant oil problem as well if there is one for some reason my personal bikes allways baffle the crap out of me
