I have a 90 evo, the plugs recommended are resistor plugs. A friend of mine (more electrically inclined than myself) suggested I go to a non resistor plug as I have no radio. What plugs would you suggest? In advance Thanks
Some days my bike runs like there's nothing wrong in the world, other days :(

Resistor plugs are made for electronic ignitions, and a 3 ohm coil. Non resistor plugs are made for points ignitions with a 5 ohm coil. If you are running the stock ignition, run stock plugs. If you have a magneto or points, then run non resistor plugs
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Resistor plugs use the resistor as a noise suppressor and a spark dwell time. Resistor plugs are not as good asnnon resistor plugs. For the simple fact you can really fine tune with them. You will need special spark plug boots though to run them.. remember the old Japanese bikes with the solid core wires and the big plastic plug boot. Well that was actually a resistor. Anyways you could make the spark dwell longer or shorter depending on the boot resistance.
I'm not here cause of a path before me, Im here cause of the burnout left behind

Only one plug I use in my bikes and WS6.
Iridiums by Denso.
Will never use anything else.
They are worth the cost.

Nothing but NGK BPR5ES-11's here on the shelf for probably 15 years now.

Hi Guys,, The old Shovelhead  use non resistor with electronoc ignition
On my Evo I use non resistor with electronic ign. no problem in many years.

Call me old fashioned.  Champion has worked for me since back in the Triumph days.
This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickock.

For shovels, and EVOs my choice is the BERU UXT 2.

The Technology behind them is:" Luftgleitfunken " wich means the Plug does not need Heat to clean itself. That helps with Coldstart.

Agree, changed to these last year after using Champions for decades. The NGK`s start easier, run better and my Harley loves them. Good enough for me.
Peace...those brief moments in history when everyone stands around reloading....

autolite 4265 ran them in my stock evo, after I did heads and cam eork and when I went to a 110 revtech runs sweet.

I use the NGK BPR5ES-11 also, mainly because I found they don't seem to foul when I cruise into higher elevations.  The stock Champions fouled badly when the air got thin.  I tried the iridiums and got a ten percent decrease in mileage.
