Years ago I was on Main Street in Sturgis and the breaker failed. I pushed into an open space, went over to Mr Al's and bought a new one from the Ohio dealer that used to set up there back when folks rode and repaired their machines. I figured I could just cover the wrench with my hand and change it quick.......by the time I realized the ring on my right index finger had become a conductor, it was glowing red. I must have been a sight jumping around, trying not to squeal too loudly!   Thanks for the memory :teeth:.

Vibration is a killer. I've used copper straps for years. If you ride alot the 30 amp main breaker fasteners seems to loosen up, i wedge it in with rubber. Don't look pretty , but i don't get no sparks. Dirty

Really, never loosened on me. I always use shakeproof washers on electrical posts.

It don't start shaking till about 75mph or so, running for a hour or two, Its digs a hole in the rubber i use for vibration control. These new Battery tray isolators i get are kinda stiff. Dirty

I aint talking crap my friend, didn't mean to offend. these new interstates around here are crazy. If you get up the on ramp without getting run over you better be pushing or drafting. At that speed this old shovel is shaking all over, especially the battery tray. Seem the circuit beaker shakes its self loose after a while. Haven't found anything shake proof on a shovelhead yet.
