Glad you were able to dodge the bullet with minimal damage to you.  Bikes can be fixed.  Being real close to your age bracket, and riding since my early teens, I have been reminded many times over the years that the cagers will get you if you don't stay alert.  The closest I ever came to being hit head on was in Yellowstone Park when an idiot came around a curve on the wrong side of the road.  He was looking at the scenery, lucky for me I was not!  Thanks for the reminder. May you ride safe for many more years.
