Who here has used them? Who here is currently using them? Do you like better over a conventional intake system?

Thanks.

Is this a drag only or are you going to run it full time?

no racing but semi hard running.

I always thought they don't have much use with efi. Carbs and fuel fog , it makes sense. Apparently they do something because my v rod has two. One for each throttle body with and both different lengths plus they are both on the inside of the air filter element. This is to help tune to uneven pipe lengths for each cyl was the info I got.  Not sure how they play out with a single throttle body but suspect there is some intake tunable feature to it.

Reason I am asking is because I am going to do some engine upgrades. Curious if it would really be beneficial or not. I have heard that they work well but usually in a drag rave application.

I think you heard right.
Just like these young kids riding around in cages with a foil wing mounted on their trunk lid.............so stupid.
You have to be going a buck 50 to hold the a$$ end of the cage down.......  dumb.

I ran one for limited drag racing.
for street a air filter helps keep stuff out of your expensive parts.

on those wings and coffee can exhaust.
lol
kid down the road has some Honda civic with wing and stuff.
I asked him how much down force that wing gave his rear tires for traction/bite
(on that front wheel drive car)

Yeah I am not looking for looks really. Would rather it work good than look good. Well, both would be best. :)
Thanks,<br />Whip

Paul Morris posted this link awhile back:

you have to contact Steve Allstaedt, owner of SA Racing, Fletcher, NC directly to purchase them now.
Idiots are fun, no wonder every village wants one.

They get so much down force, they can still burn rubber..............go figure.

All I can tell you is what we experienced many years ago when we were drag racing cars and for some silly reason decided to use a velocity stack instead of the air cleaner on the car.  We found we had a stumble that we could create at any speed by adjusting the height of the stack.  This was back in the carb days, so I don't know if that would hold true on an EFI system, but for us all a stack did was take a good running street car and give us a new problem to work around.

Gotta nice story for ya.
I ran a stack on my 80 inch for a few years.
I had to train myself not to let my right leg fall into the opening.
Talk about ABS brakes!!!
Your knee went over the opening and big time engine kill.
I learned over time but, one day a member needed to get somewhere and borrowed my scoot.
He came back an hour later with a white face and half scared to death.
He got a dose of "leg over the stack" a few times and it freaked him out.
Since then, I pulled the stack and threw a good filter set up on it.
They look cool and work good but, not worth the aggravation for street riding if your long legged.  :wtf:
