Anyone hear that the PCV doesn't last long on Harley's ?   I heard that they are fine on other brands just not HD.
Thanks,
SR

We have not had very good luck out of PCV on tbw bikes. Had several that would lose throttle or just shut off while driving. Changed to flash tuner (Power Vision) and problems would go away  :nix:.

My BIL, new to Harleys, came to me for advice on what cam to put in his Softail deluxe. He had already put V&H duals on it and a PCv. He had a base map installed from FuelMoto so I advised he take it to my Indy who installed an S&S 510g. He then uploaded a new map but it wouldn't run well above 3K rpm at all. He returned the bike to my indy who took pictures of how the timing marks lined up and sent them to S&S, They confirmed the cams were installed correctly. Demasters felt the PCv was the problem so we removed it and it ran as bad on the bikes base map, absolutely no change. He then took it to the dealer who dynoed it with a new power vision with no problems whatsoever, it runs perfect which confirmed that the cams were spot on. My BIL doesn't believe the PC5  made any difference when his bike was a stage one, and that it never worked right. Now I was surprised as my old RK ran well with my PC3 tune for 65k miles. Another indy friend of mine with a dyno is now using Power Vision as well because of issues. I had the same Indy, Demasters, install the cams on my Ultra and his work was terrific as usual. I then had it tuned at the local dealer, Wolverine as it came with a SERT installed and it runs terrific as well.
