GoPro Hero2 video settings

On my hero2 I've been using the 1080-30 and wide settings when on the bike. Most of the time its mounted on the left side handle bar, Ultra Clasic, this trip I've been also using the head strap. I'm wondering if these are the settings I should be using for best results? Those of you that do a lot of recording what settings are you using while ridding and why? Any other tips are welcome.

1080p eats up the battery, I would get about 1/2 hour of use.  I used 720 and got about 2 hours of record time.  Last year I bought the open case and plug it into my cig lighter and now I just run out of space on the memory card.

Can't say I noticed and difference in picture quality, by my eyes aren't that good.

I posted the short video in "Earls Place" under "Mirror blind spots" that is 720p.
These are the facts according to my opinions.
