Looks pretty good, too bad they forgot to paint it and put a windshield on it though.

Thanks for posting.

Bout time somebody is commenting on the meager amount/lack of travel on the rear of baggers. Harley could have stepped up and but some travel and quality shocks on these things a long time ago. Rick

One of the most honest reviews of a Harley I've ever seen.

NETacomaFatboy

Lousy seat (as always), lack of windshield, lousy paint choice and lousy shocks...

Maybe when Indian & Victory start selling more bikes, HD may make a better effort..

I couldn't wait for the return of the RG. BLAH! I prefer my '12 Custom over the new model. Mustang seat, mini apes, Windvest windshield and Progressive shocks made it the new model Harley should have made! Don't really need air vents and an Infotainment screen that you can't see in the sun.

ultrakoz

Pretty sure that isn't a vivid black bike.....
Whether you think you can or you think you can't, either way, you're right.

At first glance I thought the same but I am going to test ride one to really make sure. I am not in the market this year but I will be next year.

:agree: 'air vents', really, your on a FN bike for crying out loud...I don't get it...if riding the bike isn't enough 'entertainment' maybe those types should find another 'hobby'...HD might fix the shocks if there wasn't so many RUBs who want 'infotainment and air vent's '...it sells...you know what I am saying...and indian/victory wont change that mindset...

I finally got to see a stock 2015 RG. Did not like the air vent quality (not a good seal and it is cheap plastic, did not like the speaker grills and did not like the screen and controls (looked cheap). Loved the new saddle bags and the handle bars. My 2010 RG is lowered 1" and the new RG seems to sit very tall.

Overall, I will pass. Like my 2010 better still.

:agree: with above. Looked at them over the weekend. I will add to Netacoma`s list, The screen on the std version is way to small for being so far away. The seat is bad as usual.

Scooter.. if I had the bike, the seat would be the 1st to go. Shield, I would expect there would be after market ones. Like the lame 6" they gave me on my 2010... Used a few times, then taken off.. Maybe in 30 yrs, it will be a collector's item. LOL!

WhipLash96

This is a very nice bike. There will be one in my stable sometime during this model year.
Thanks,
Whip

One thing that I will say about the 15 's that doesn't make sense to me is why in the world is there still incandescent lights on that bike in any way? WTF?
Thanks,
Whip

DOM

They put incandescent lights on so you can have something to spend $1000 after you purchase the bike, along with all the other normal upgrades like seat, exhaust, tuning and suspension. I keep thinking about buying a new bike, then think of all the stuff I would have to repurchase and I can't bring myself to do it.

I put a few miles on one the other day. I had high hopes like many. I was ready to get off it after 2 miles. I'll leave it at that.

puttputt

I'm disappointed they didn't bring back the Ultra version. Maybe next year?

Question? I was at Heritage Harley on Concord, NH this past weekend and sat on a new RG. I see it has 3 air channels. one on each side of the fairing and one in the center. I see no way to block them off for colder weather riding. Has anyone ridden one of these and have feedback on this?
If you have to stop and think about if it is right or wrong, Assume it is wrong.

Scooterfish

The mail slot center is the same as bat wings. All 3 have closing flaps.

not a bad review,, there are a couple of inaccuracy's.. #1, the bike is black denim,, not vivid black,, #2,, the FLTRXS has a painted inner-fairing,, it is painted black,, not color matched,, #3,, they showed a FLTRXS in red,, not available, the one that is shown is a FLTRX, not a special. , also he did not explain that the special comes with a coil over dial adjustable shock,, not the air shocks,, and he did not cover the LED headlights,,

as in his last review I noticed he takes off a saddle bag and scrapes it on the tar,, I suppose it isn't his bike so he doesn't care..

lots of people bark about the short shocks, at least on-line they do.. but yet I hear very few complaints about them here, and as for my 2014 FLHXS, I have no complaints about the ride,, and here in MN we have pretty crappy roads,,

so far we have sold 3 roadglides, I took one out for a few miles and the bike doesn't fit me,, windshield way too short and the bars come back too far,, being they are "pinned" they can't be rotated forward, (i'm 6'4") , I guess i'm not sure why they are that way,, but oh well..

they vents work amazingly well,, almost no turbulence, unlike what they reviewer claims, they are not for air flow when it is hot out.

they are gonna sell, but by no means are they gonna overtake the FLHX or the FLHTK,, at least not here in MN!!
