Looking to add stereo audio output.  Factory head unit has audio input only.  What is needed and what is the hookup?  Have service manual but not electrical manual.  Have hearing aids and would like to stream using bluetooth device into hearing aids, but bluetooth device for hearing aids needs to be plugged into audio output jack.

TIA

Don't know if Iron Cross works on the pre 06 units.  An 04 bike has a radio sound unit, not the advanced audio system by Harmon Kardon

They do.  The can add all kinds of stuff, bluetooth, amp outputs, USB inputs all kinds of stuff.

I have basically what you need on my RG , I use moulded ear plugs with speakers in them. I have a small unit that piggy backs onto my speaker wires , I put it in one of the RG glove boxes and then run the wire along under the tank cover to the front of the seat. I just plug in and can listen to the radio at any speed. I can't post a picture at the moment as my photobucket account is suspended.

That 3.5 jack is where you would plug in an ipod to get music to the unit. The round connector on the console is where you plug headphones in. The 2004 doesn't have bluetooth capabilities unless you add something aftermarket which I think others are alluding to. Maybe the round plug could be converted to what your looking for.
