I've got the hogtunes 2nd amp bracket under the faring earmarked for an amp to power my rear pods and future bag lids. I have the PA amp running the 4 speakers in the upper/lower farings. I don't expect bag lids in the immediate, near future, but I take the tour pak off frequently enough that I'm leaning towards a 4-ch amp so I wouldn't have to compromise the gain settings.

However, I have a burgeoning idea coming on: my OL has said she doesn't hear the rear pod speakers when I had the amplified Polks installed there; are speaker lids running 6x9's better for both passenger AND rider? I might throw some 2Ω speakers on a PBR300x2 in the pods now, then in the future run them off the radio and use the amp to push the lid speakers.

Does sound like a sensible plan?

Yes Sir. . . Good plan. Another option is the Cerwin Vega B2 just in case you want to run 4 ohm speakers. It cost the same as the PBR300X2 but has more power @ 4 ohms.
