Here's a simple solution to make battery removal and installation easy. The block of wood is just there to show the "handle" part of the strap. It makes it so much easier to get the battery out of the tight battery box.

Looks way cooler than my inner tube strips.

I tried lawn chair webbing. The bottom of the battery wore through the webbing. Then I switch to one of these. You have to use it sideways so be careful to not touch both terminals at the same time.
Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

HighLiner

I picked up some nylon web ribbon at the craft store to do the same thing.

I use 2 strips of Gorilla Tape (it's just high quality, extra strong, black duct tape) with the adhesive facing each other. So you basically end up with a very strong and flexible strap of black vinyl 3 inches wide and maybe just over 2 feet long. The strap goes around the battery and what is left over easily tucks down in the compartment right next to the sides of the battery. If you haven't bought you some Gorilla tape yet....go out and get some. It's like duct tape on steroids!!!

A length of seat belt from a wrecked car works.
