Just wondering what all the differences were between all the 2-1s from the mega, B1, funky curve road rage and regular looking road rage?

I have tried the short and now have the RR long on my bike and I prefer the long.  The TQ comes on earlier and the tome is a bit quieter than the short.  I like it.  Quality pipe.

I bought (but won't have in possession for a while) a FXDXI with a new style Road Rage on it, Mega style with the end of the pipe stopping about 2" in front of the axle, about half way between the shock mount and axle.  I called Bassani last week and the main tech guy was out at a rally etc.  The person I talks to said they worked hard on that pipe to get equal length (rear head pipe wraps the node cone fairly close) and have changed the head pipe configuration twice to get the pipe tucked up so that it doesn't drag as bad,  tougher job when you have both head pipes going under the footpeg.  He said the new pipe performs better than the older ones but like you said there are still a couple mufflers and possibly length choice.

I was under the impression from Bassani that the longer pipe made better power of the older offerings but I don't think I would want the long pipe on a Dyna due to vibration from the longer un-supported muffler length.   -Rick

That main tech guy is Kurt and he was at the V-Twin Expo.

There is another pipe made by Bassani(Private label for another company) that was not listed in the first post. Those that were at the Expo saw the pipe on my black bike. I think a pic was posted in the thread on the V-twin Expo. That pipe fits all models of the FXR and Dyna (except Switchback or something).

The pipe that was on the black bike at Cinci was manufactured by Bassani for a company named Thrashin Supply. Again, same pipe fits FXR and Dyna models.

Looks similar in design to a Sawicki pipe

Except for the collector on Tylers pipe is back by the transmission and the collector on this pipe is way up front above the brake pedal.

They both look good, if it performs like a Bassani then im sure the performance is their as weel, Does Thrasin make a coated pipe as well or just the raw stainless look?
