G'Day To All,

This is pretty much a continuation from my thread I had last week with reference to EGR Effect Tables.

I have recently purchased MegaLogViewerHD to look at my TTS dataloggers an pretty impressed with the product.

This question is to do with O2 Sensor voltage viewed in the Log View, Scatter Plots & Histograms.   I have attached graphics to help explain what I am seeing.

In the Log View, I see that the O2 Sensors are at a particular voltage.
When I then take a look at the Scatter Plot, they are at a different value.
Then when I take a look at the Histogram, I see a different value again.

Why is this the case?

Keep in mind that in the log view, that is the voltage that the ECU had on one packet.  In the scatter plot view, that is the average of all of the readings that got rolled into that pixel one the graphics card you are running.  In the histogram view, that is the average of all of the readings rolled up in the cell range.

All three can be a little different.  Keep in mind that EFI tuning is all about averages.

Dynos are great for getting the motor close enough to get on the data loggers.

Do you have any filters set for the histogram?

Thanks Andy.

And, no filters in place.

On the top right if the scatter graphs is a button "scale".  You can set the scale to say 100 on the low side and 900 on the high side to get the O2 colors to pop.

You can also set the global O2 range under <calculated fields> <Fix Fields Min and Max>   Remember that in MLV HD everything is case sensitive and watch out for spaces in field names.

Have fun
