I just bought dynojet power vision and I'm going to have the 18mm bungs welded in the head pipes and do some Auto tuning to see if I can get it dialed in.
I don't care about the numbers so much as I do getting it to run the best it can
Craig

For what you just spent you could have had a much better tune from Chad and been done with it.

Its not to late, have Chad tune it.

Tube stuck in the end of the pipe

They don't have the proper equipment to tune your bike.  I don't believe you can get a good front cylinder reading with a tube on that exhaust.  Id save the money on the Vision and give it to a operator that understands tuning.  Sound like you have one close.

You don't mind spending money, just on the wrong things.  Get a real tune already.

Very true, and yes Chad is the man...Chad built my 107 and tuned it and I couldn't be happier..well I could if he puts a 124 in it but that's for another day...maybe.    Lol :potstir:

No need to put on a trailer it runs pretty damn good not sure if can get it any better
I got the power vision to see and if I change things on it I won't have to worry about taking it to get tuned every time.
I will learn how to do it myself it don't take a rocket scientist just someone who is eager to learn no offense to you guys that are in the Business but when I pay to have something done I expect it to be done right  :idunno:

Even though mine is carbed, I thought it was spot on till hardtail put it on his dyno,WOW was I wrong, unless u have a way too monitor AFR,ur out in left field my friend. There's a difference between good & great!
Ur bike,ur build, but I bet ur leaving a bit on the table.

Well I will tell you I had a jet boat that had a 540 ci BBC with 2 750 holleys and I had it dyno tuned it made 706 hp I put the motor in the boat and went to the river and that dam thing ran bad popping and missin I called the guy that tuned it he said it must be to rich so I went and bought some smaller jets and put them in and the same thing so I was going through my old parts and found some big jets I stuck them in there and that thing ran like WOW what a rush moral of the story is a dyno works in some cases but not all
the real test is on the street track river

Or the moral is; If you do not pick wisely you do not get what you payed for. You just have a knack for picking poor tuners. I have had several dyno tunes on several bikes and have always received a great looking dyno graph and a great running bike.
I have nothing against a do it yourself tune, in fact I respect those that learn to do it but in the end you will not know how you did without a dyno run and you will not get it as good as a quality dyno tune.
Best of luck to you.

Now that's funny conceidering you paid and it ain't close to right
I'm never wrong , once I thought I was wrong , but I was wrong

I wouldn't of charged you for that tune, and offered to trailer to Mattoon for you.

Mirrmu

okay you getting 120/120

did you buy the autotune pro kit?

good move buying the PV, can you open/view your existing tune and cut and paste these details to the PV format so you have something to start with

you will get the low rpm stuff sorted out easy

Mirrmu

Make sure you get a handlebar mount for the Powervision and set up the gauges for TP, map, rpm, knock etc

I would focus on one section of the map at a time, like start, idle and upto say 3000rpm, identify any problems in this area and adjust map, then move onto 3000rpm and up for example

BlueFLHX12

Yes I got the Autotune pro kit and the handlebar mount and my understanding so far is when I marry the PV to my ECU it will put the map that's in the ECU as the Original in the PV and I can use that as a starting point

joe_lyons

A new hardware called target tune is coming out soon for PV.  Live tuning with widebands instead of log then correct.

Was told 4-5 weeks from Mar 19.  Could be longer?  They are having the wiring harnesses made.

I would be interested in getting that TT
I read where Jamie said that they would sell the kit minus the wideband sensors

Wouldn't that make it like the Thundermax but not change the ECM ?
