oK I have a 2005 elec glide classic (not an ultra) I bought a OEM brake light kit for my tour pak. when I opened it up the wire harness on the light bar has three plugs, but my turn pak only has one plug coming into the pak. when I connected it the only brake lights work. so why does this harness have three plugs and my pak only have one? secondly whats the fix. It was bought of EBAY so no instructions. pics coming shortly

I understand the yellow plug, but I have no clue as to the red ones. I only have one plug in my pak.

the one plug I have in my pak runs my running lights at the base of the pak. but that plug does not fit the other two plugs on my harness. Im thinking I need a splitter or an adapter?

Check under the seat and side covers to see if there are any more accessory harnesses under there that are coiled up and aren't being used that the factory puts there for this type of thing. If not, I would say that there is probably an HD adapter type harness that you can buy that will make your new lights work.
Good luck,

If you can not get a wiring diagram, I'd recommend checking the bike harness to see if you get a turn signal flash at the bike harness.  I 'do not believe' all harnesses flash the signals - could very well be wrong - its happened before!!!!  If you get flashing at the bike harness, then it should not be too difficult to trace the lighting harness and possibly rewire the tour pack lights to mate up properly with the harness.

If the bulbs are 1157's, then the lighting harness has the capability to flash the turn signals.  If they are 1034's, there is only one element and you will not have turn signals - only running lights.

Here's a link to the wiring diagram section.  Just down load your 2005 Touring.  Tourpak section is on the 4th page.  This might help you.

Every day, I'm one day closer...  WTF!  I'm not near 70 yrs. old!

Should use standard 3 pin connector.  Black, blue, and red. Matching connector left side of bike.  Extra two pin connectors for side marker lamps.  Run and brake only on stock stuff.  Red= brake. Blue = run.  Black = ground
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

looking at the picture again makes me think that the two red plugs may be for side running lights.  Easiest way to tell what is going where is to trace the wires with a meter or test light.  The color coding of the wires should simplify the process.

I'd be interested in know how many wires are going into the bulb sockets.  If only two (Hot and Ground) and the bulb is a 1034 or similar, then about all you are going to get is either a running light or a brake light - not both.  If three wires, (2 hot and 1 ground) then you should get running lights plus brake and turn signals (1157 bulb).
