Just viewed Mike Rolands road king for sale on Minneapolis craigslist. There's a lot of bike there. Just thought I'd post this so everyone could get a peak at it.

I was under the impression that Mike and his bike are about 1500 miles away from Minneapolis these days.   -Rick

He said he was selling it to buy a boat.

He bought the boat - bike still for sale.

If it's still for sale by the middle of June.. Wonder if he'd be willing to rent it out...

I could not find the year or milage, guess with those qualifications it does not matter.

DOM

You can kinda tell the year by the description.  Clue 1 - 95" That says prior to 07.  Clue 2 - converted from MM FI, that says prior to 02, but it is a twin cam so 99-01?

With all the stuff he has done to it, it prolly doesn't matter.  I'm sure the bike is perfect, but as usual, unless you find the right buyer, it is hard to get way over retail for a custom bike.  All the stuff we do to bikes is money in the hole.  We do it because we want to (or have to in some cases  :SM:)

The boat or the bike?  :bike:

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Bike is nice :smileo:
But the 64 SS in the garage is :smilep:

Bike is an 01' FLHR made into a street glide. Very nice piece, runs REAL strong.
The Impala burnt to the ground. Replaced with a RR that's for sale also.

wfolarry

Is he keeping the boat in the slip next to yours John?  :smiled:

If that is a detachable fairing, which it looks like by how high it rides, then it is not a Street Glide. It is a bastardized Road King. Probably got a goddamn radio too. Heresy, I tell you!

Too much of the Kury stuff on it for my liking. I'd have to spend a weekend stripping it off.

Not much, less is more as far as I'm concerned. I can't believe I put a frickin radio back in this year.  :teeth:

Way too much $$$ for the bike.  Anyone else other than Mike Rolland and it would be "a lot" less $$$.  Trying to cash in on the name.  Who ever buys it will take an instant $6K+ hit to their wallet.

If you have to stop and think about if it is right or wrong, Assume it is wrong.

Some big dollar parts on that bike, buy a stocker and try and get 133 HP out of it. Eventually if it ever happens add up  all the receipt and see how much it cost to get you there. I know guys that have spent a lot more and have got a lot less..... horsepower wise.

If you were after the hp that bike has its a bargain.

Doesn't matter IMHO. I have a ton of $$$ dumped in my bike, I doubt if I could get a third of it back out.....but then I don't give a "Potty mouth".  :teeth:

But, you have to find the right buyer for a bike like that.

No kidding, it's always that way when you start customizing any bike.

I could have easily bought a CVO model for what I have invested in my 04 RK, but I didn't want a "cookie cutter custom"

On the other hand, I recently bought a 2007 RK with 1700 actual miles on it & a 124" motor for $10,000 from a buddy who needed the money so in that case it worked in my favor :-)
