Porkchop, If your kid has $2500, why don't you just buy a car from a private owner?  Go to craigslist. I've seen cars as new as 2005 going for that kind of money. You know the dealer didn't pay anywhere near $2500 for that car. Why throw your money away. Turn the dealer in and walk away.
