How do you bypass the dam thing. 2000 r-king.

Just a guess but, it sounds like you're dumping it a lot.
Tired of picking it up or just embarrassed to often?  :idunno:

Probably not too different than on my Aprilia...  It is a metal ball that slides on a curved rail and if it slides too far (banked way over) it makes contact, completes a circuit, and sends a signal.  I think just unplugging it would take it out of the circuit.  Make sure the wires do not touch anything else.  I've never heard of them going bad - installed in the wrong orientation, yes.  But then maybe it is way different than my Aprilia.

Used to fill the sensor with silicone (disabled) for the cops. They could get the bike to shut off when doing their competition riding ay back in 99.

I was under the impression that it was somehow associated with the turn signal cancellation circuit.  Can't remember where I got that idea and it could be totally wrong.

Looking for someone with more knowledge on this matter to correct/confirm my impression.

Early BAS was a separate unit.. Later ones were incorporated in to the TSM/TSSM  Not sure the year 2001? 2002?

99 was the last year for Touring Models to have a separate BAS, 00 onwards the function was in the TSM/TSSM

Friend of mine bought a new 99 Standard and every time he leaned it a little to much it would crap out..The dealer in Worcester MA ( Nate Sheldon HD)  chased their tail for a long time trying to figure it out. Not to knock them because he had one of the first ones built and they really had seen many issues at that point..
where's the points and condenser ?<br />Tom / aka motor

The last year on the separate BAS is 2000,  I have a midyear 2000 Road King with separate BAS and seen others with same.

Correction: 00 was the last year for Touring Models to have a separate BAS, 01 onwards the function is in the TSM/TSSM, or as HD put it the TSM/TSSM serves as bank angle sensor.

What's the problem, does it just stop running for no apparent reason ?

Put in a new circuit breaker last Thursday.  Put about 250 on over weekend, ran fine.  Hopefully that was it. Time and miles will tell.

I converted mine to the maxi fuse a few weeks back.
