Got a call from  friend asking :

What Is needed to Get the front brakes blead and working?

ABS on a Fat Boy 2014...

He put on High Bars and unhooked to do so. Then Blead the front and now front squeeze is really Low..... Now What? ADDED: Spongy

I told him he might want to take it to a HD Dealer, as they have Special tools to work on ABS.

I know I'm Not going to Monkey with it. :nix:

What is needed in the way of Special tools... I know HD has them..

Wonder IF HD charges straight time for that work. (bleeding and Equalizing)

Thanks for your replies.

A vacuum bleeder should be able to get the air out.

If the system did not go dry down to the module you should just be able to bleed the base brakes normally. The only time you need to do anything special is when air gets into the module. I don't know what Harley's special tool is but on GM. you need to use a capable scanner and run the ABS solenoids up and bleed the system, some Fords you use a capable scanner  and run the ABS Pump while opening the bleeders. Under normal braking the brake fluid is by passed   by the solenoids and stop like normal brakes.
you can try this vacuum bleeder it works good and the price is good.

it works almost as good as my $100.00 Vacula brake bleeder I use at work. You do need a compressor to use this

The proper procedure for bleeding abs is: bleed the system like any brake system to get all the air out the hook it up thru the data plug to digital tech (or any shop the uses techno research, the newer twin scan 2/3 software also has the abs bleed function) and those systems will walk you thru the rest of the steps.

We have done complete brake line swaps and bleed the system with our vacuum pumps like normal then rode the bikes and watch the abs light and every thing is good but we have both the techno research centurion system and twin scan systems so we always pump the system thru the computer also. But it seems like that is unnessary most times we just cover our asses with the computer
