My feeble understanding tells me that the timing being pulled in these logs isn't normal.  Here are two runs.  I have new plugs gapped at .038.  For testing I have zeroed out "Max Knock Retard" and "Adaptive Knock Retard"  I hear no pinging with this all disabled.  I have linked two log files and a screen shot of my current spark tables.  Any advice and or assistance is greatly appreciated.

Maybe I am late to the knowledge party again.  But for "Potty mouth"s and grins I copied my Spark, VE, CI, Accel, and Decel from the level 09 calibration and pasted it over my stock 044 calibration.  I didn't copy the Air-Fuel Ratio table.  I figured I was just pissing in the wind.  The results are night and day.

I looked at your log file.  It is too lean is 99% of your problem with the spark knock.  I just looked at a few spots and it is 20% too lean in WOT which will cause this everytime.  The reason you aren't hearing it is the spark knock system is doing its job.  The 009 and 044 are pretty much interchangeable. If you want send me your information as to year, model and mods and I will send you a map that will work. I just looked at the log in the first post.  I had rather send the map in the PM or email.  I will Pm and send my email address.

When you say that it is too lean on WOT,  is the target too lean or is it not hitting target.  I was interpreting that this log was showing  12.6 actual in the WOT range.   At one point I had it targeting 11.5, with the widebands  showing that I was hitting target and it was still pulling a lot of timing.

Not to be argumentative,  but that 44 map isn't pulling anything.  And by the wide bands seems to be quiet a bit leaner at WOT.   Those may be interchangeable,  but it can't be mere coincidence that the reported spark knock stooped in it's tracks.   I am willing to try anything.

Thanks for taking the time to look it over

Here is another log when it was in 107 Ci gas powered hammer trim.  Same business.

Looking at your log I find, that whith rising MAP the target lambda drops (o.k.) but the O2 sensor voltage drops too (not o.k.)
